Paul Maxwell

Founder / Executive Director

Paul Maxwell is the Founder of The Angel Charitable Corporation (ACC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to strengthening communities by supporting children, servicemen and women, animals, and individuals experiencing homelessness, while also enabling others to act on their prompting to do good.

Paul’s career reflects a unique blend of academic achievement, entrepreneurship, and community service. He was accepted into the College of the Holy Cross’ prestigious Pre-Medical Program as a high school senior and participated in UConn Medical School’s summer fellowship program in 2000. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Holy Cross in 2001 before pursuing medicine. After completing the University of Connecticut School of Medicine’s Post-Baccalaureate Program in 2002, he completed two cross-country bicycle trips benefiting Habitat for Humanity during his summer breaks.

Paul ultimately left medicine to pursue a music career, writing and performing a singer-songwriter-style album. His journey took him from upstate New York to Miami, Austin, and eventually Las Vegas. Most recently, he held a biweekly residency performing solo piano in downtown Henderson and is currently writing music again through his company Marble Entertainment LLC.


Before entering the insurance industry, Paul worked on the Las Vegas Strip as Head Waiter at Sushi Samba, where he was recognized as one of the company’s top-performing servers. Specializing in high-end tasting menus and luxury dining experiences, he generated more than $800,000 in annual sales during his final year. He later became a franchise owner with All Nevada Insurance, building an agency with more than $1 million in annual insurance premiums before successfully selling the business in 2019.

A proud graduate of the Leadership Hendesron Class of 2022, in 2021, Paul invested his personal resources to establish The Angel Charitable Corporation and has since dedicated himself to leading the organization. His vision for ACC is to serve as a “charity of charities,” strengthening other nonprofits through collaboration, strategic partnerships, and shared resources.

Outside of work, Paul enjoys spending time on his land in Southern Vermont with his two dogs, Epictetus and Seneca. An outdoorsman at heart, he enjoys golfing, camping, shooting, archery, and playing piano and guitar.
