Originally from Puerto Rico and raised in New Jersey, Angel graduated as valedictorian of Dickinson High School, Jersey City, NJ, class of 1982, before earning a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, Summa Cum Laude, from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, class of 1986. He spent more than 30 years at Cardolite Corporation, advancing to Vice President of Worldwide Operations, where he oversaw manufacturing facilities across the United States, China, and India. After retiring in 2016, Angel relocated to Henderson, Nevada, and started the NerdsToGo Las Vegas franchise, building it into a respected technology partner for local businesses before successfully selling the company in 2025.

Angel is a proud graduate of Leadership Henderson, Class of 2025. Angel serves as President of The Angel Charitable Corporation (ACC), and is dedicated to improving lives through our four core areas of impact: supporting children, honoring service men and women, protecting animals, and assisting individuals experiencing homelessness.
